What is Invisalign®

Invisalign® uses a series of customized, removable, and comfortable aligners that are nearly invisible, allowing your child to feel confident showing off their smile during treatment. Invisalign® is proven and effective, made with 3D computer imaging technology.

Why Choose Invisalign® for Your Child?

Invilasign TeenConvenience: Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so your child can eat and drink normally while in treatment. This also makes their daily hygiene tasks of brushing and flossing far easier than with traditional metal braces.

Comfort: Invisalign® clear aligners are very comfortable, with no metal to cause abrasions in the mouth during treatment. Discomfort during appointments is also reduced, since there are no brackets or wires to be tightened.

Advanced Technology: Invisalign® uses advanced 3D imaging, which allows you to view your child’s virtual treatment plan at the start, so you can see how your child’s straight teeth will look when treatment is complete. Plus, no messy impressions are needed!

How Does Invisalign® work?

Your child will wear a set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only for eating, drinking, flossing and brushing. Each aligner gets replaced with the next in the series, so your child’s teeth will move little by little, week by week, until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by Dr. Wiltshire.

Your child will need to visit Dr. Wiltshire once every six weeks to ensure that treatment is progressing as planned. While each case is unique, the total treatment time averages between nine and 15 months.
